Prayer Request

Okay, I'm calling on all my prayer warriors, and have already sent out 2 group emails. I went for the ultrasound to check my follicles, and there was only 1, but it's a good one, so I had the shot to force ovulation on Wednesday. I start progesterone on Monday, and 9 days later, I take a home pregnancy test. No matter the outcome, I'm going to need prayers. I take the test on April 2, and April 1 is the 1st anniversary of our miscarriage. Please pray for God's Will, my peace and acceptance of God's Will, and of course, a baby.

Before I met with the fertility doctor, a friend of mine shared a story and a prayer with me, that I'm now going to share with you. *For my non-Catholic friends and followers, there have been times that Mary, and/or Jesus have appeared privately to people in modern history. These are called apparitions. Marian apparitions are times when Mary appeared. All are investigated by the Church. Some are decided to be fakes, frauds, or crazy people. Some are decided to be true, and worth paying attention to. One Marian apparition that is still going on today (as far as I know) is at Medjugore. An apparition can't be decided upon until it is over, so the verdict is still out on this one.* However, there is a statue of the Infant of Prague (Baby Jesus) there, and it is said that if you pray in front of this statue for a baby, you get pregnant.

Well, my friend's parents went to Medjugore, and prayed for 2 of their daughters (my friend's sisters) to get pregnant. Within a couple weeks, they both announced their pregnancies, and shortly after, my friend discovered she was also pregnant. I can't go to Medjugore, so she gave me this novena to pray instead. *Again, for my non-Catholic friends, a novena is a prayer or set of prayers that you pray every day for 9 days, every month for 9 months, every hour for 9 hours, you get the idea* So far, I have prayed this novena before I met the dr, and before my ultrasound to check my follicles, and so far, everything is going perfectly. I'm going to start it again on Monday when I start my progesterone. Please join me in prayer. If you aren't comfortable praying this specific novena, that's okay. Any prayers are welcome.

The Infant of Prague Novena

O Jesus, Who has said, "Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened," through the intercession of Mary, Your Most Holy Mother, I knock, I seek, I ask that my prayer be granted.

(make your request)

O Jesus, Who has said, "All that you ask the Father in My Name, He will grant you," through the intercession of Mary Your Most Holy Mother, I humbly and urgently ask the Father in Your Name that my prayer be granted.

(make your request)

O Jesus, Who has said, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My Word will not pass away," through the intercession of Mary Your Most Holy Mother, I feel confident that my prayer will be granted.

(make your request)

PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING
Divine Infant Jesus, I know You love me and would never leave me. I thank You for Your close Presence in my life.
Miraculous Infant, I believe in Your promise of peace, blessings, and freedom from want. I place every need and care in your hands.
Lord Jesus, may I always trust in Your generous mercy and love. I want to honor and praise You, now and forever. Amen

Thanks in advance for any prayers you offer for us!

God Bless you all,
Dana

So Many Updates...

I know its been awhile since I've posted...like going on 2 months. So, Emma's presentation on Ancient Rome was a huge success (and she LOVED it!), and I was SO proud of my little girl! Barely 6, and I'd say that out of all the KIDS that presented (mostly the moms did the presentations - whaaaaat???), she tied for 1st place in knowledge of the subject and professionalism. Yeah, she's 6.  :) My little nerd. She actually asked me on the way out of the housing edition that day if she could do another project like that soon. ❤

Skye finished puppy school. She tied for first place in half of her tests, got a puppy diploma, her picture in a graduation cap, treats, and a new squeaky toy. It was so cute!

I saw the fertility specialist this last Monday. He was very nice, and came up with a game plan, that (if it works) could result in twins or even triplets (more than that, and I'd probably be having a minor heart attack lol). He wants to give this plan only 2 cycles and then we might have to talk about the next plan. That tells me he's pretty confident in this plan if he's only going to do it for 2 cycles. Kind of anxiously excited... Prayers are much appreciated.

Also, I'm back on my oily antidepressant. I realized a couple of days ago, that while I was no longer sobbing uncontrollably, or wanting to die, I had gradually become less and less interested in spending time with friends, was quickly moving into a place of no energy, etc. Even doing school with Emma had become a chore (which I usually really enjoy), I had totally stopped knitting (a hobby I've REALLY enjoyed), and calling a friend on the phone? Forget it! I was depressed! I hadn't even noticed it sneaking up on me! Anyway, come to find out, oils are very different from prescription meds. A prescription medication that lowers blood pressure (for example), will lower it, regardless of if your body needs it lowered or not. An essential oil that lowers blood pressure among other things will only lower your blood pressure up to the point of health. If you already have low blood pressure, it won't lower it at all! Isn't that amazing?! It's called (I believe) an adaptogen. So cool! So, I'm back on my oils, and feeling great! Also, I also learned that Dill essential oil is great for stopping/minimizing cravings (like sugar, nicotine, etc.)! And apparently, Bergamot oil is great for stopping bleeding. Two oils I am sooo ordering ASAP! :)

Anyway, hope you've all been well!
God Bless!
Dana
